AUX-CORD OR DJ?

As an entertainment company, we find it imperative to stay up-to-date on all things relevant to our industry. Thus, we find ourselves skimming through many bridal blogs. It has come to our attention that a handful of brides are inquiring about pros/cons of hiring a DJ for their wedding compared to using an auxiliary (AUX) cord.

Using an AUX cord will save you money. It will also allow you to easily access music through a smartphone or iPod. Yes, hiring a DJ costs money; but, it could also be the most important aspect of the evening. A DJ is a hired professional whose job is to read the crowd and set the tone of the evening. With years of experience, a DJ guarantees they can guide the entire evening flawlessly.

The wedding couple and guests can be free to enjoy their party without worrying about a thing. We understand the time and effort it takes to plan a wedding. It is only more stressful to worry about music and ambiance on your special day. At EventSpark we will take care of the music, include special song requests and/or playlists, and structure your entire timeline. This will include (but is not limited!) introductions, shout outs, special dances, and the extra energy boosts when needed. Relaxed vibe during dinner? Pump-up music to get everyone on the dance floor? You got it.

At the end of the day, a professional DJ can transform what would be a very average event to an amazing party that everyone will remember forever.

Personal testimonial:

As having made the AUX cord mistake at my own wedding, I can vouch that a DJ is a huge step up. Apart from my phone dying and not having the music I wanted to play for my friends and family, the venues speaker system was just not up to par. Even playing at full volume the guests could barely hear or dance to the music, not to mention lack of lighting. I still had an amazing night but thinking back it could have been that much more memorable and definitely less stressful.
